The Grand Prize Drawing

With every pearl purchased, you will receive 10 entries into our Grand Prize Drawing! One lucky winner will get to choose their prize for next year’s conference:

  • Option A: Free registration for the 2027 IECA Conference.

  • Option B: A $500 Sponsorship credit for the Foundation’s 2027 event, including two event admission tickets.

All donations support the IECA Foundation’s mission. The winner does not need to be present in Baltimore, Maryland, to win. No purchase or donation necessary to enter or win. Click here for official rules.

Purchase a Pearl

Now Open Through May 18!

Every $30 charitable donation represents a "Pearl of Opportunity"— a physical symbol of the life-changing support we provide to youth-serving organizations.

When you purchase a “pearl”, we will handwrite your name on a pearl-white balloon and add it to a chain that will circle the entire ballroom at our Pearls of Opportunity Gala on May 18th.

Whether you are joining us in person or supporting from afar, your "Pearl" will be physically represented in the room as we celebrate 30 years of impact.

Our Mission

For twenty five years the IECA Foundation has served as the charitable arm of the Independent Educational Consultants Association, the nation’s leading professional organization for educational advisors in private practice. The Foundation leverages knowledge, professional skills and funds provided by IECA members, sponsors, and donors to help underserved students map pathways to success.

Welcome from the Chair

“On behalf of the IECA Foundation (IECAF) Board of Trustees, I want to begin by thanking all of our friends, partners, and supporters. The landscape of this profession, and education more broadly, has evolved significantly since the Foundation was founded more than 25 years ago. What hasn’t changed is the incredible commitment our loyal supporters have had on behalf of underserved students across the country. Thank you.” - Phil Cocchiola, Chair of IECA Foundation Board of Trustees

Grants

Each year grants are made to small, lesser known programs and projects that produce pragmatic, measurable results for young people whose needs are often not met. These smaller organizations are often off the radar screen of larger grant making entities.

“We are so grateful for the IECA Foundation's continued support of our mentoring program. Our Scholars need us more than ever and it is really heartwarming that they can continue to rely on your generous support.”

Danielle Verbiest, The Abramson Scholarship Foundation
