When you give in honor of someone celebrating a milestone—or in memory of someone you've lost—your gift does two things at once. It directly continues the work and causes that person cared about deeply, and it lets them, or their family, know that their belief in something bigger than themselves left a lasting mark.
How to Make a Tribute Gift
Making a donation in honor or memory of someone takes just a few simple steps:
Select Your Tribute Type: On our online donation form, check the box indicating whether your gift is "In Honor Of" (for celebrations, milestones, or recognition) or "In Memory Of" (to remember a loved one).
Choose Notification Options: Decide if you would like us to notify the honoree or their family. If you select yes, you'll be prompted to enter their name, mailing address, or email.
Customize Your Signature: Specify how you would like your name listed on the notification card (e.g., The Smith Family, Jane Doe, or Anonymous).
We Take Care of the Rest: Once your donation is complete, our team will send a physical card or email to the recipient letting them know a thoughtful gift was made in their name.
Note: We strictly respect your privacy and the spirit of the gift. The exact dollar amount of your donation is never shared—only the recognition of the meaningful impact made in their name.
