Math ‘n More
Briefly describe your organization and its mission:
(What inspired your work? Whom do you serve?)
Mission: Math N’ More is dedicated to closing the math achievement gap for Black and minority students in the Metro Atlanta area through High Impact Tutoring, small group sessions, and personalized learning for K-12 students. Our mission is to instill confidence, mastery, and enjoyment in math, guiding students towards academic success and lifelong learning.
History: Founded in 2020 by Dr. Christopher Roblész, Math N' More has developed targeted educational support systems, including after-school tutoring, summer math academies, and community events like Pi Day, which has evolved into an annual celebration involving multiple community stakeholders.
How did the recent grant from the IECA Foundation support your work?
The IECA Foundation’s grant allowed us to host a powerful and successful Pi Day 2025 event, with over 190 students, families, and community stakeholders in attendance. Participants left not only understanding the significance of Pi but also with the confidence to say, “I can be a math person.” Partaking in math and fun, it was an inspirational day indeed.

This summer, while many programs are shutting down due to budget cuts, Math N’ More is expanding. We're launching a full summer academy with both virtual and in-person options. Scholars will experience not only high-quality math instruction, but also financial literacy, life skills, the arts, and weekly field trips—making learning both rigorous and joyful.
Any message you'd like to share with our donors or members?
Thank you for believing in us. Your generosity doesn’t just fund events or programs—it fuels dreams, empowers students, and proves that math can be a gateway, not a gatekeeper. Because of you, our scholars are saying “I can” when it comes to math—and that changes everything.
