Part-Time (Remote) Program Director
20 hours a week
$28/hour
The IECA Foundation is seeking an Independent Contractor for the role of Program Director to lead our fundraising efforts, oversee donor relations, grantmaking and manage integrated marketing and event planning for the IECA Foundation. The ideal candidate will drive strategic development initiatives, coordinate with the board and staff, and enhance the Foundation’s visibility and engagement through multi-channel communications.
Responsibilities
Strategize, design and execute development strategy for all annual fund and giving appeals, collaborating with the Board.
Formalize and oversee development stewardship processes, to include donor recognition and acknowledgement.
Strategize, execute and manage ongoing communications and messaging with IECA members and donors- via email and newsletter, Oversee all channels (including social media and website) and keep communications up-to-date.
Compile content for the quarterly Insights magazine.
Manage all board activity and committees (Nominating/Governance, Fundraising, Grants, Events & Sponsorships, Katz Award, Finance and Communications). Drive meeting schedule, agendas, meeting preparation and follow up.
Lead the planning and preparation for the Foundation’s participation in the annual IECA Conference (in May each year) which includes fundraising event/activities, vendor table and awards recognition. Attend the Conference and manage all Foundation-related activities and events.
Develop sponsorship opportunities for the fundraising event; partner with the board on sponsorship outreach.
Plan the fundraising event (in conjunction with the Events Committee), work with vendors, manage budget, ticket sales, attendee communications and ongoing promotion of the event.
Strategize and prepare the Foundation’s presentation at the Annual Awards Luncheon.
Manage and staff Foundation’s vendor table and marketing materials.
Serve as the liaison between the IECA Foundation and IECA staff.
Oversee the Regular Grants and Microgrants cycles, including grants application platform (Kaleidoscope), communication with grantees, grants review process and committee management and communication.
Collaborate with IECA staff and IECA Foundation treasurer to keep record of all donations and financial records.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related field.
6+ years of experience in fundraising, with a nonprofit program management background and experience in board management.
Familiar with the education landscape, especially educational and/or therapeutic consulting, a plus.
Experience with budget management, financial reporting, and the integration of Quickbooks with our accounts, Little Green Light, and reporting.
Proven track record of successful fundraising, grant management and project management.
Familiar with grant application platforms, such as Kaleidoscope a plus.
Familiarity with donor databases, especially Little Green Light.
Strong proficiency in utilizing Google Suite, including GMail, Drive, Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides.
Proven experience in creating and managing website/social media using tools such as Squarespace, BetterWorld, Canva, MailChimp, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn and online giving platforms such as GiveLively.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Reliable internet connection and suitable home office setup.
Administrative Assistant
Part-time, approximately 10 hours a week
Remote (work from home)
$20/hour
The IECA Foundation is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Part-Time Administrative Assistant (independent contractor) to support our team remotely. This position plays a vital role in managing administrative tasks, facilitating communication, and ensuring the smooth operation of foundation activities and programs.
Responsibilities:
Manage the donor database (Little Green Light), including entering gifts, generating reports, and analyzing data and trends.
Execute development acknowledgment letters and board member outreach (recent gift reports) under the oversight of the Program Director.
Assist with scheduling and preparing for board and committee meetings and maintaining the calendar of events.
Support the Program Director during grant cycles, including processing applications for Regular Grants and Microgrants.
Assist the Program Director with the planning and preparation for the Annual IECA Conference, including tracking and invoicing sponsorships, and ensuring sponsorship recognition and fulfillment (tickets, acknowledgments).
Oversee online communications, including social media platforms and the Foundation website.
Maintain regular communication with IECA office staff to coordinate activities and reports.
Schedule and participate in monthly reconciliation meetings with the Program Director, Bookkeeper, and Treasurer to review and reconcile financials.
Manage email inboxes and respond to inquiries as appropriate.
Maintain accurate and organized electronic files and databases.
Perform other administrative tasks as needed to ensure efficient operation.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in administrative support or office management, preferably in a nonprofit or Foundation environment.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Google Workspace.
Experience with donor management and/or grants management software(a plus).
Ability to work independently and remotely with minimal supervision.
